TRANSFORMATIONS

My fitness journey began like most people, I need to find a gym, program and a trainer. Some opt for 1 out of 3, 2 out of 3 but for me, I went with all 3. I decided to go to Yelp to get some help with my decision. At the time, Ken the owner of Uzima had the top rating for Chino so I decided to go with Ken. I am so glad I did, Ken understands that everyone fitness journey is going to be different for everyone. Ken gets to know his client’s motivation, the reason, end goals and with that understanding he knows how to tailor your program to meet your needs. Understand that Ken isn’t going to write up a program and that’s it…there is more to it that that. He has the ability to coach you through the tough parts of the programming and knows when you are at your low point, he encourages you to push beyond what you thought was your limit. Other than my 4 years in the Army, I didn’t know anything about working out, proper form, how heavy I should go and how do you use a barbell?…etc… Ken provides that guidance and years of knowledge to get me to be better with form and technique. In the 2 ½ years with training with Ken, he helped develop my fitness journey to become a habit and a lifestyle. When the day came to finally do this on my own, I continued the fitness journey and kept all the things that Ken taught me so I can be successful. How successful have I been since training with Ken you ask? I decided to build my own powerlifting home gym, I have exponentially grown in strength with all my lifts and I’ll be competing in my 1st USPA Powerlifting Meet in Oct 2022, at the young age of 48. All this would not have been possible, if I didn’t go to Ken with Uzima.
